Another traveling adventure.

There are only so many titles you can give to busy weeks and weekends. =) I guess I'll have to start using a thesaurus for my headings.

All 4 of us have been battling a nasty cold. Marc had it the least severe and I had it the most. The boys were fairly miserable but nothing that a special movie (Buzz Lightyear) and smoothies didn't help. We're still battling some runny noses and a lingering cough but we are far from contagious and had ourselves some good visits in the meantime.

Sick boys drinking their tea.

We headed to Montana to see Marc's good buddy and his family. They are from Missouri so its been awhile and will likely be awhile before we get to see them again. It was a good visit and being at the ranch is always great.

The whole gang.

We spent a rainy couple of days on the ranch chasing cows, haunting Sylvester, watching birds, playing the accordion and enjoying the country life.

Trying to pet the cow (unsuccessfully).

Happy boy throwing rocks in the crik.

Playing in the spring snow.

We are in countdown mode till summer vacation. The boys and I are finding outdoor activities and anxious for the day when Dad will be staying home all days instead of just the weekends.

Whew!

What a weekend. While the week itself seemed to drag on and on today we lived three Saturdays in one! The annual health fair was today along with a grand opening, of sorts, of the hospital's new wing. We stopped by there for a few freebees (including a Frisbee, much to Desmond's delight). We thought it was going to be warm so we headed to the park but it quickly got windy and threatened to rain. Never the less the boys traipsed up and down the stairs, swung on swings (still the favorite), went round the merry-go-round, down the slides and chased the squirrels (which are fairly abundant in the park). All in all a good trip to the wonderful, albeit a bit cold, outdoors. We ended our busy morning attending the annual free-lunch celebration at the local hardware co-op. And, if you are familiar with small town living, a free-food anything is as good as any social hour! =) Home we went for sleeping! Both boys are sick but having Dad home is medicine in itself. =)

Conquering the *big* slide.

Jaxter on the swing.

Balloons from the lunch - very exciting.

Playing in the dirt proper-like, with tractors and dump trucks instead of just hands.

I truly wish that this picture was of more than just toys but as I helped the boys with these great new bubble blowers my hands were highly unfit to handle technology. They had a blast with these gifts from Cousins Jacoby and Morgan! =)
