Just trying to keep caught up with news in our lives. Though, to be honest it all sort of blurs together and I can't remember what happened when.
1. Marc sent a box with paper airplanes (requested by Desmond because his mother can't do it!) and with big stickers which the boys immediately assumed they were creature power disks. (http://www.pbs.org/parents/wildkratts/episodes/) Marc also sent me a scarf that has been around my neck ever since.
2. We got to go to a birthday party that was at a roller rink, I don't have any pictures yet (some friends took pictures I will post them when they share). Jax was done with roller skates after two minutes but Desmond had a good go at it. They had fun, the picture is the boys giving the birthday boy his present from them.
3. Our frozen yogurt place has big chalkboards that the boys like drawing on.
Other news is that the boys are starting soccer this week. Tonight was supposed to be their first practice but it rained in torrents so the team would have had to convert to the sport of swimming rather than soccer! They are so excited and their coaches are friends from our small group so they will have fun. =)
I heard from Marc this morning an he is well, tired, but well.
Have a lovely day!

Catching up
We have been on the go! We have stayed busy and had lots of adventures! Here are a few pictures!
1 and 2. Saluting the flag for the daily five o'clock bugle call.
3. Valentine's dance at Desmond's school.
4, 5, and 6. An adventure day. With Marc gone I have to force myself to have adventure days with the boys (Marc is the get up and go guy in our relationship, I would rather just stay home!). So I declare about one day every other week as an adventure day and we go someplace and do something little boy oriented. This particular day was the children's museum in savannah with a five guys picnic. I love five guys! =)
7 and 8. Bowling at a friend's birthday party.
9. My husband loves me. He left behind several little surprises for me and writing on the underside of our daily vitamin caps was one of them. =D
10. Our dad wall. Map, clock with Afghanistan time, pictures of dad with boys, pictures of Kandahar, and months to cross of for boys to see progress.
11. Our dad tree. Every day we write our favorite from that day on a leaf and then put it on the tree. When the tree is "full" dad comes home. Again, a way for the boys to see progress. In hindsight I should have done all this before Marc left but, as Desmond says, "that's how life is sometimes".
12. The boys playing at the doctor's. I have an infected tonsil and had to get some antibiotics. Gross, huh? But I should get better soon!
Marc is doing well, staying busy! Have a lovely day! Check back soon for more.

Cast off!
Well, we went in to get checked up by our bone doctor today for Jax. The X-rays looked good and he walked ok, still with a limp, but more of a this is weird being out of a cast limp than a painful full limp. So they took the cast off and left it off! Hoorah! He is in the bath as we speak so very excited to put both feet in the water!
That was all. I heard from Marc again this morning and he is still well.
Pictures.
1. Getting ready for the cast saw
2. Des decked out as well
3. Back to all things boy!

Pictures
We have been very busy since Marc left. Here are some pictures.
1. Showing our hand checks
2. Making an airplane 'with a roof'
3. Centipedes from grandma
4 and 5. cool sunglasses after routine eye appointment.
6 and beyond. Fishing. A neighbor friend (their son is in preK with Des) had a license and a couple extra poles and so took us fishing. The boys had fun but were disappointed to mot catch anything.
Have a great week!
