Bugs !

This weekend our Savannah Children's Museum had a Bug Fest. We really like the Children's Museum anyway, so we went. There were lots of interesting bugs. I didn't  take too many pictures, though. And I, ashamedly, did squeal more than once. =/ The boys really liked examining the different creatures with their magnifying glasses and Jaxter completely impressed the resident entomologist when he told the entomologist all about the tarantula's spinerettes.

Toads. To illustrate the food chain.

If you look close there are hissing cockroaches and click eye beetle.

Tarantula. We were not allowed to touch it because this particular species can shoot its hairs at you causing a very itchy reaction.

I don't remember the name of this particular creature but it was in the Harry Potter movies.

Desmond eating a chocolate covered cricket! If i can figure out how to upload video I'll do it.

Even Jaxter partook (after his mom had a teeny tiny taste to prove it was ok).

In other news:

Jaxter and Desmond have moved up in the bike world. Jaxter is pedaling Desmonds bike and, as of yesterday, Desmond is the proud owner of a new-to-him bigger bike. Both are staying close to home perfecting their new skill set but we'll be on the long bike rides again before too long. =)

Normal?

The boys sang at church for Mother's Day.

A beach trip. We love tide pools! We had friends from Atlanta here for a couple of days so our trip was extra fun. =)

Desmond lost another tooth!! 2 gone... Many more to go.

Tana wrangling.

Eating our first strawberry from our garden! =)

Tonsillectomy

I had my tonsils out two weeks ago and I will say this about it : it was exactly as I expected - horrible. I have some residual problems with eating and lingering 'discomfort' but all in all recovery went smoothly, painfully, but smoothly.

My mom was able to come down and stay till i was back on my feet again which i am so grateful for. We did not get to do a lot of fun things or sight seeing due to my convalescence but we did spend a couple of hours at the beach (a must for visiting so close to the coast!) and a couple hours in historic downtown savannah along the river

Pictures.
1. Waiting for Nana's airplane to land.
2. Our last soccer game. Boys got medals fir participation. They are posing with bestie Michael.
3. Ready for the beach! (We still had about forty minutes left in the drive but he was too excited. )
4. Making creations with sand.
5. Downtown Savannah. Don't let the picture fool you! I was still moving slow and we even took a break so I could take my narcotics (picture was after that, perhaps that is why i look fairly peppy?).
6. Marc on a mission. He is still well, but very busy!

Not many photos. But i was stuck in our brown recliner with pain meds and an ice pack too much to capture many moments. .
