On and on

Life continues here in the deep south. Day by day we find new things to have fun with!

Pics
1. Soccer is still a favorite activity!
2. IPad is also a favorite activity. Their favorite is a problem solving app called cut the rope.
3. Flibbers! Marc has a book (or maybe its mine?! Cant remember) from childhood with activities and flibbers were one of them.
4. Easter egg "hunt" at a local church. They cancelled the Army one and a local church sponsored one... They had 12,000 eggs for kids to "find". Very cool.
5. We went to a big screen movie for our treat day! =)
6. Desmond helping make muffins. He is a good helper, especially when he is helping make something he really likes!!
7. Jaxter is getting more independent! Watch out world!
8 & 9. A local farmer hosts a booth the oglethorp mall in savannah. Kids get to see eggs hatch (if you are patient enough or have impeccable timing, neither of which described us that day) and hold a baby chick.
10. Easter package from gramps and grandma! Lots of cool stuff. They ask for their "new shirts" every day!
11. We went to veggie tales live in savannah this last week. Interesting... =)
12 & 13. Our own easter egg hunt. A friend of mine let us use her fun kid work space for an Easter Egg Hunt. They had fun!

We got to video chat with Marc this morning (even though we were in Savannah- thank you iphone!). He is well and his unit stays very busy. He is also playing electric bass for their chapel services when he can. We miss him lots!!

Have a lovely day!

Adventure Day

Marc is the get up and go member of our family. I love people and am very social but home is my favorite place.

Our boys have inherited his wanderlust. So.... I have been forcing myself to take at least one "adventure day" every month. This means we spend the whole day going somewhere and doing something fun.

Yesterday we went to Jacksonville Zoo. We had a great time, although the weather threatened our day. It rained early in the morning and we thought we wouldn't get to go! But we tried anyway and were blessed by great weather which then turned nasty upon our return as we turned into our neighborhood.

Adventure Day is also a great excuse for Five Guys Burgers. =)

All pics are from the zoo.

1. Ready for the zoo!
2. Desmond navigating with map through dino exhibit
3, 4. Climbing in tree house.
5. Afraid of trex.
6. Digging for bones.
7. Butterfly Hollow.
8. Stingray Bay
9. Train ride to see animals.
10, 11. Feeding Lorikeets
12. Carousel.
13. Grooming goats.
14, 15. Playground with treehouse, nest and rock wall.

Heard from Marc this morning. They are getting very busy but doing great things!! Their band is on facebook if you want to see pics!! =)

More adventures

We have been so extremely busy!! I apologize for the delayed post but life has run away with us here in georgia!!

The most notable event recently is that the boys have started soccer! 2 of our guy friends from bible study stepped to volunteer to coach and the boys LOVE it. I am the official team mom, organizing things and doing phone duty so it has taken up a good chunk of time.

Another big event was Savannah's Saint Patrick's day parade this morning. Though we had to wait a good while for the parade to start (3 hours) and it was the longest parade i have ever seen (started at 11:30 and wasn't done till after 2) we had a lot of fun playing with friends and people watching.

Pictures
1. At the parade
2,3 soccer
4. Jax doctoring Des after some sort of injury.
5. Heard from Marc this morning! He is doing well! Getting very busy with missions!
