Some Video

So this post is a bit "early" but I anticipate the next one to be a bit "late" (in regards to the once a week goal) because of a busy week planned ahead. But a bit "early" and a bit "late" should equal out to about right on time. =)

Anyway just a few videos to show our lives lately, and how big and able the boys are getting. We really do have quite a few moments during our days that just make me giggle. =)

Jaxter singing and Desmond doing some "talking" with the paint brushes.

This is what happens when I leave the boys alone with Marc.... ;)

The boys really got into the groove when we visited Dad's pep band at the bball game.

Lovely Friday afternoon playing with Dad. Dad eventually got dizzy even though he was alternating the direction of the spin.

Love.

Happy (belated) Valentine's Day! The older I get, the more I study God's Word, and the longer I am married, and the longer I have children, the more I realize what true love is. I have loved my husband since before we were engaged but (and this won't come to a surprise to those of you who have been married awhile) the longer we are married the more I love him.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

I once heard someone say that if your feelings for a person are "rushed" then it isn't true love because love is patient. And while many circumstances are complicated I do believe that TRUE love will exhibit the qualities listed in the "love chapter". So when I say that I have grown to love my husband more it isn't necessarily in quantity but in qualities - instead of loving him because of what he does for me or makes me feel - I merely love him for who he is to the point of wanting his good over mine.

It is interesting that the most frequent relationships that God equates His relationship to us is the parent-child and the wife-husband relationship. I have come to believe that its because those relationships are the ones that teach us about love in the true sense of the word, since God, Himself, IS love.

I am truly blessed with a husband who has always loved me, truly, unselfishly, from the first time we warmed each other's elbows at our first concert. =) He is patient, he is kind, he is not easily-angered, he is not self-seeking, he keeps no record of wrongs, he protects, hopes, trusts and perseveres.

Our week:
My boys, so excited about tie shoes.

Its been warm enough to go outside and enjoy the snow. They love to throw it, notice how they are working their way through the yard with their shovels.

We went to the basketball game (Dad's pep band was playing, as you can see in the background) and the boys had a ton of fun jumping from the steps, although the seemed a bit oblivious to the actual game going on.

This little boy in the background became a fast friend. They ran around together, pausing every few minutes to give hugs all around. I missed the pic of the hugs but it was so neat to see the boys being friendly and caring. =)

Playing with our Valentine's stickers from A.Corrina and Gma.

We are getting better and better about going out to eat! Which excites Mama!

Playing an impromptu game - throw the monkeys in the hole! =)

Still busy.

We continue to be busy! I have started to wonder if maybe instead of being aggressive with my New Year's resolutions I should have made some resolutions for the boys instead! How much easier keeping house would be if the boys' subscribed to the "always put your toys away" club! =) That aside, I am continually blessed by the boys in my life - so grateful that I am privy to their happies (and sads). What fun we have! =) Check for more video soon.

"Was' up?!"

The boys love to look at books on car rides.

The boys got to take a field trip with Nana on the city bus to the pizza parlor, they had a blast.

At the doctor, applying therapeutic post shot candy.

Still a fan of the boats.

WE LOVE BABIES!

WE LOVE PLAYDATES WITH OTHER LIL' BOYS! =)
This is my childhood friend's, Rachel, boys (and the baby above is her daughter). She is visiting from Texas so we made the drive to hang out for a bit. That put us in Gramps and Grandma's neck of the woods, as well, so we stopped at their house for a night.

Everyone looking at the camera.

We had another great playdate with my friend Gail and her 4 kids. What fun!

Splashing in puddles while Dad brings in the groceries.

Our Superbowl party: popcorn picnic with apples, bananas and (*very* special treat) chocolate. I tried in vain to find an online channel to watch since we don't have TV but all I could find was the commercials. Ah well... And, yes, the boys did eat popcorn this way. They, apparently, interpreted the "Superbowl" a bit differently than intended. =)

Yep, that's real butter! =)

At our toddler class doing an obstacle course.

Literally run ragged! This is on the ride home from toddler class. =)

Well, that's it in a nutshell for the last week or so...it's late so I'll leave it at that. Have a lovely day!

Double Trouble

It took a grand total of 4 minutes for this to happen. You can always be confident that you'll find something interesting after a moment of silence followed by hysterical laughter. =) Marc says that I should have showed myself laughing after taking this video. I had given them time out because it was naughty, but it was also a moment to capture so... I wasn't as mad as I sound. Also, it looks like Des picks his nose, but he was just wiping the flour off his nose, and they had been eating the flour (wierd?).

We've been hunkered down in a cold house this week. We have had lows of -22ish (some friends are seeing -33 at their house) and part of our heater is broken. Marc suspects a frozen pipe under the floor (we have hot water forced through the baseboards). So, the bedrooms have been quite chilly and the rest of the house has been dropping in temp as well. The heater in most of the house is working but this old house doesn't keep its heat very well. We've used it for an excuse to bundle up in our big boy blankets and watch a short movie while having hot chocolate. =)

More later...
