MONTANA!

We absolutely loved being in Montana for 3 (3!!!) weeks. The boys are old enough to participate and remember (for a long? time to come). We did so much, saw so many, and were sad to say good-bye.

Without further ado:

USO in Denver .... Flight delays stink but Lazy Boys and fudgesicles to the rescue!

Still waiting for flight....

The best way to wait for a flight at 11:30 at night.

Lewis and Clark caverns : God is an artist!

Good morning, Montana! The mountains never cease to stir my heart! They speak of God's greatness:
"God’s glory is on tour in the skies,
God-craft on exhibit across the horizon.
Madame Day holds classes every morning,
Professor Night lectures each evening.
Their words aren’t heard,their voices aren’t recorded,
But their silence fills the earth:unspoken truth is spoken everywhere."
Psalm 19:1-3 MSG

Looking for gems.

Fireworks.

Good night, Montana.

Pompey's pillar.

On the way to Yellowstone.

Jax didn't follow the 'don't approach wildlife' rule.

A storm chasing us on Mount Washburn.

The storm caught up to us: this is our campsite. =/

But we did manage to warm up and sleep...some.

Morning campfire.

Yellowstone souvenirs. Thanks, Grandpa!

Grizzly Bear Discovery Center.

Being sworn in as Junior Rangers.

Obligatory Yellowstone photo op. =)

A milestone: first ride in the bed of a pickup (just down the driveway but still a thrill!)

Chico Hot Springs.

Learning the finer points of a golf swing from Gramps and Dad.

Legos....IT style.

Exploring the rims.

Looking at books.

Giganto-park.

Mmmmmmmm.....Ciao Mambo!

The boys and I went to indoor water park with Nana. It was very fun. The boys liked the wave pool and water slide.

Cousins! It had been more than 2 years since they had been together. They had loads of fun building, battling, and bruising. =/    =)

The drive back to the ranch ... Those mountains! =)

Final adventure: Museum of the Rockies with Grandma and Gramps.

Brave boy hugging a dino!!

Desmond was fascinated ... Jaxter, however did not linger long.

Jaxter frying fish for his supper. =)

One last Montana sunset.

We found Waldo in the airport (look behind Des) and followed him to Georgia.

And we're back to "normal."

Ha!!

We're back to moving prep and out-processing chaos. But God is good! =)

Have a lovely day!
