So, we think that Des has heard us talking about Christmas and this morning he was sending out subtle hints about what he would like from Santa. If you can't quite hear in the video he is saying "vroom, vroom" the same sound he uses when cars go by or he plays with Grandma and Grandpa's little truck at their house. He doesn't have any trucks or cars so he was creative and just used what was available, either that or, like I said, he is sending hints about Christmas presents.
We have been fairly busy the last couple of weeks. The musical came off very well. All the participants did a good job and enjoyed themselves. They are already talking about next year's musical! I've barely caught my breath from *this* one and I wasn't even involved!! Marc's family came down for a day to watch and then my parents came down to watch a different night (we only have one guest room). It was fun to have some visitors and Des certainly enjoyed the extra entertainment, although being way past his bedtime - he did not get to see the musical himself.
Marc was busy catching up on his "day job" so Des and I went to visit Marc's family in Montana as his uncle John was there and hadn't yet been acquainted with the boy. So we took a few days and stayed there taking advantage of the good eateries and availability of "ows." Then we came home via a doctor's appointment for me. Everything is still good - its the only time in a girl's life when folks get excited about how much weight she gains. I would cherish it (the weight gain) if it weren't for the constant ribbing I get from the inside! =)
And now we're in Thanksgiving Weekend and, while we are very glad for the vacation, our honey-do list is quite long. Including shuffling around rooms to fit in a newborn (anyday now). We should have done it sooner but we've had to resign ourselves to not having a guest room any longer to make a "kid room." I'll let you know if we get it all done. Marc is already making a good dent in the list working hard this morning while I sit here and type.....
So happy turkey day to you all - I hope that your tummies are satisfied and that you are reminded of how blessed you are. We are most thankful for God's provision, protection and love. He has truly been good to us.
