Creative

So, we think that Des has heard us talking about Christmas and this morning he was sending out subtle hints about what he would like from Santa. If you can't quite hear in the video he is saying "vroom, vroom" the same sound he uses when cars go by or he plays with Grandma and Grandpa's little truck at their house. He doesn't have any trucks or cars so he was creative and just used what was available, either that or, like I said, he is sending hints about Christmas presents.

We have been fairly busy the last couple of weeks. The musical came off very well. All the participants did a good job and enjoyed themselves. They are already talking about next year's musical! I've barely caught my breath from *this* one and I wasn't even involved!! Marc's family came down for a day to watch and then my parents came down to watch a different night (we only have one guest room). It was fun to have some visitors and Des certainly enjoyed the extra entertainment, although being way past his bedtime - he did not get to see the musical himself.

Marc was busy catching up on his "day job" so Des and I went to visit Marc's family in Montana as his uncle John was there and hadn't yet been acquainted with the boy. So we took a few days and stayed there taking advantage of the good eateries and availability of "ows." Then we came home via a doctor's appointment for me. Everything is still good - its the only time in a girl's life when folks get excited about how much weight she gains. I would cherish it (the weight gain) if it weren't for the constant ribbing I get from the inside! =)

And now we're in Thanksgiving Weekend and, while we are very glad for the vacation, our honey-do list is quite long. Including shuffling around rooms to fit in a newborn (anyday now). We should have done it sooner but we've had to resign ourselves to not having a guest room any longer to make a "kid room." I'll let you know if we get it all done. Marc is already making a good dent in the list working hard this morning while I sit here and type.....

So happy turkey day to you all - I hope that your tummies are satisfied and that you are reminded of how blessed you are. We are most thankful for God's provision, protection and love. He has truly been good to us.

Yes, he is using my belly as an armrest.....

Playing with Uncle John. He (Des, that is) wouldn't sit still for a 'portrait' picture so this is as good as we got.

Hanging with Grandma.

He likes to offer the cats his toys - he is really very sweet, he shares all the time in playgroup, too.

"Tagged"

So my friend Julie "tagged" me on her blog - that means I am supposed to post 7 things that you may not know about me. I've had to think about this because as most people know: I don't really keep secrets and I wear my feelings on my sleeve so.... With much effort but not much hope (you probably already know) here are 7 things:

1.) I was suspended in high school for pushing my gym teacher in the swimming pool.

2.) Getting my hair cut is my absolute favorite "treatment." I would rather get my hair cut than any other spa treatment.

3.) I was a drum major my senior year of high school.

4.) I keep 2 'daily' journals.

5.) I used to be a vegetarian after an unfortunate incident with a McD's quarter pounder.

6.) I count stairs in my head whenever I climb them, even if its just 1.

7.) I take instant mental inventory of my surroundings and can tell you what is "clean" and what is "dirty" in all environments (hallways, cars, parks, elevators, *everywhere*). And I keep track - noting when something gets "contaminated." This is completely ongoing in my head, it never stops.

So - Tara Lewis it is now your turn to enlighten us on your "probably unknown." You're tagged.

Nothing much.

Our week has passed rather uneventfully. In fact, I'm having trouble thinking of anything to write to make it read-worthy. Daylight Savings Time has proven to be quite the obstacle for Des but I think we are finally getting settled with the new schedule. The poor guy also broke in two teeth at the same time. We have single handedly kept the Tylenol stock up this week.

Now we are in Montana. I had a doctor's appointment to check on my recent weight gain (haha). #2 is coming along nicely, so they say. I am officially wider front to back than side to side - I realized this when I attempted to turn sideways to fit in between a chair and the wall and suddenly realized that either way I wasn't really going to fit. *Sigh.* All for a good cause! =)

The countdown for babies has begun. I have several friends that are having babies in succession. 3 have had theirs, another is slated to go "any day, " then me then 4 others after that (including a new nephew for us!). Its that time of life! =)

Marc's hard work comes to culmination this next weekend with the musical opening and closing. I'm anxious to see the results of all their hard work. Its 7 brides for 7 brothers which is a cute story to begin with. Although, the highschool's budget is a little lower than the original screenplay I'm sure it will still be enjoyable.

Finally! He is reading the manual.
