Doing a fire pit with good friends.
Rod and Rachel.
Watching the fire.
Chocolate loving boy having a s'more.
Not chocolate loving boy getting help with a hot marshmallow.
Playing with friend in their "cave".
Gross spider - as big as a watch face - if I ever find one of these *IN* our house Marc will be a lonely man till he moves north again. ;)
Its finally happened - the boys are learning how to play Nintendo. Super Mario Brothers (original) to be exact.
Rachel teaching Des how to work with dogs. She is a dog trainer who has 4 dogs of her own, all of which are very well behaved. The boys LOVE the 2 littlest ones - this chihuahua and an Italian Greyhound (think small) - so much so that when Rachel comes over they ask if Emily and Bean are coming, too, so sometimes they do. =)
Emily (the chihuahua) is a magnet for little people.
This is Desmond being "spooky".
Playing....
This super hero cape has been the incentive on the boys' chore chart for weeks and it coincided with Halloween, so.... they were Super Heros for Halloween.
Everything is funner with 2 boys helping....and more complicated.....and lengthier in time.... =D
Super Heros!!!!
Ready to go trick or treating for the first time (other years we have just gone to parties).
His first Trick or Treat.
They do it different here in the south - people sit outside (cuz it was 70, though with a cool breeze) and doll out the loot, no knocking on doors....and there is a line for each "station". Interesting.
Crazy crowded.
We hosted a marshmallow roast for our "treat". It was a big hit. I wasn't sure we'd get any tackers with the whole "don't let your kids eat anything unwrapped" rule.... but apparently Marc looks very unthreatening because almost everyone took him up on his offer.
Dark picture but the line went out to the street.
Desmond ready for his turn at trick or treating.
Desmond's first Trick or Treat.
Check tomorrow for videos.
