There is always something'

Seems like the last two and a half years there is always some change in the imminent future. Marc is finished with his training and we were looking in the face of "normal".

And then the boys got sick.

They are on the mend, thankfully, Marc and I now battling the same bug, but seemingly a less aggressive strain.

Perhaps now we will see what normal looks like?

Some photos:

Getting some fresh air....fever style.

Saturday morning, fever style. We were supposed to go to a parade to watch Dad play. But, obviously, the boys were not up to it.

A recovery day in Jacksonville. We went to the Museum of Science and History. And Costco, of course.

Marc experiencing "hurricane force winds".

Feeding time for the fish.

Desmond volunteering for the science show.

New super hoodies at Costco! =)

"Spare Time"

Well, the boys are watching a video while recouping from a long day of being ill. The video is their reward for going outside to get some fresh air despite feeling ill.

I don't even know where to begin so the following will just be stand out moments from my photos. My apologies for not keeping current. Life has been busy. I am working on implementing some new habits but between the boys, new Bible study commitments, volunteering with Desmond's class, my on-line courses and a bunch of little things, I am not sure where blogging fits in. But I do believe it is important.

We'll start with the obvious. Marc is home!! The boys were overwhelmed to see him again!! As was I.

My deployment project (one of them). I redecorated our bedroom. There were a couple of other projects that I hung in the wall that you can't see in this picture. But you get the general idea. There is a lot of hidden significance in the things on the walls and shelves. I wanted to paint but....my request got denied.

First day of kindergarten.

First day of preschool.

Wild hogs. We had to take Marc back and forth to training every weekend for a month and we saw quite a few new-to-us animals.

A real date night!

The boys have been very keen on doing projects with dad. These are battery run lanterns.

Marc's Warrior Leadership Course graduation. Also known as Dad gets to stay home "for good" day. (Though we all know, eventually, there will be another separation...we pray for at least one year without any huge transitions!) 23 months in the Army, only 10 of those spent together. It's time for some quality family time! =)

At the local Blues and Barbecue festivities.

Dad and Jax having a good time with sidewalk chalk before supper at the blues fest.

And today. A sick day. Not so bad but definitely not feeling well! You know there is something wrong when little boys just lay around!

That's a few of the highlights from my camera roll. I'll leave it there for the sake of getting this published. Hopefully to revisit some of the events in more detail l later....

Have a lovely day.
