More Snow!

We have been thrilled to finally enter fully into winter here in Virgina. We have had several good snows the last couple of weeks. The boys have had a lot of fun. We also went up to Pittsburgh to see my younger brother. He took us snow tubing which was an absolute blast!

Getting ready for cold!

Dad and Jax: "Here we go!"

Jared and Des are on the left, Marc and Jax are on the right.

End of tubing time - tired out!!

Still in one piece but very tired!

We did get a bit wind blown, though...

A traditional Pittsburgh lunch to revive after snow tubing. Beef, fries, coleslaw, tomatoes, cheese...

Apparently 2 hours at a ski resort wasn't enough snow time for these stuck-in-the-south boys so we scouted out a good sledding hill and spent another hour (more?) playing in the snow.

Starting a fire in Uncle Jared's fireplace. Serious event in the boys' life!

Pittsburgh!

Lunch: Garbage Plate from Jerome Bettis Grill 36. Another Pittsburgh thing... =) they also served a deep fried cheeseburger (1/2 lb, bun and all) which we all wanted to try but didn't want to commit to the whole thing!

We went to the Science Museum which was really interesting and had some really fun exhibits.

Saying goodbye...Jax is "asleep."

Back home to play in more snow! =)

That about catches you up! We are well, hunkering down for another storm that is supposed to come in tonight!

SNOW!

Yes, I know...not impressive by Montana standards, but still very grateful for the blessing of a snow day! The boys were ecstatic and had a great time doing a pre-school sledding adventure. =)

Merry Christmas

Not much time ... But did want to share a few pictures of our Advent and Christmas celebration.

We attended the Grand Illumination in Colonial Williamsburg - impressive!

The boys and Marc added this lovely decoration to our home this year.

The first time we have ever had outside Christmas lights!! I was ecstatic. =)

Tana "celebrating." (Yeah right! Tolerating is more accurate.)
;)

Faux gingerbread houses.

I've forgotten the name of these but they were in Virginia Beach and they were awesome! They made the Today Show's top ten?

Smiles from the boys on Christmas morning!

Boys sporting their new Thresher jerseys! =)

SNOW! Yes, snow. It lasted all of ten minutes but was very exciting!

We did not send out a Christmas letter this year so I leave you with this picture of the boys in their Sunday best and our lovely tree. We were truly blessed this year, as always!, by our family and friends but most importantly by the reminder of Immanuel, God with us.

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

The boy and his birthday.

Marc pulled out this old school Nintendo game awhile back to show the boys and Jaxter decided that it should be the theme of his 6th (yes! 6!) birthday.

Not an exact likeness to "the blob" but... Jaxter declared it good.

This is the game map that we tried to duplicate for the decorations...

Close, right? ;)

Our 6 year old!

Opening a morning present from Des.

Lunch present from Aunt Corrina and Uncle Maury.

More Legos from Uncle Shark and Aunt Marilyn! It was hard to get him to sit still for this picture cuz he was so excited.

Birthday candle with brownie and ice cream.

Another super exciting present from Gramps and Grandma!

All the presents. Yes, bubble gum was a huge hit!

Birthday party pin-the-jelly-bean-on-the-blob game.

It was a great and successfull birthday! =)
