He is Risen!

He is Risen, indeed! Easter weekend must be the weekend to post because the majority of my blogger friends have new narratives and pictures up. I figured I shouldn't get too far behind and so here is a return to the favors of the news tidbits I enjoyed reading today.

My boys on Easter day.

What a weekend! Marc has a 6 (read: 6! WoooHooooo! 6!) day weekend and we have been squeezing every moment out of it. We both sat reveling in our oldest's abilities to play with play dough...

we sat outside with our boys drinking in spring, we took a walk, we jumped in puddles...

Yes, our puddle jumping was in the midst of a spring snowstorm that came down white and landed clear (water). Puddle jumping was a huge hit! =) See video below.

and this morning we celebrated the gift of salvation from our God: Jesus Christ - with both boys quiet and still in the pew with me while Dad sang with and conducted the choir. An Easter miracle to be sure. =)

We were also very blessed to have some company come and stay a night with us: Gramps and Grandma came to deliver Easter goodies and catch up on some face to face time with the boys. We had a grand time chatting with them and Desmond was eager to show off all his big boy abilities. Gramps frequently took on both grandsons and their games of catch as well as being a frequently requested book reader for Desmond. Gramps and Grandma also accompanied us to our first Easter Egg hunt. What noisy fun chaos. I will say, though, that the older my kids get the more I'm disappointed that there always has to be large amounts of sugar/candy/treats at social activities for little people. But that's a soapbox for another day. We had fun regardless the sugar levels.

A belated birthday cake. Gramps had already had his annual Fluffy Frosting at his house but it was fun to have a celebration with Desmond.

We also had a little fun with our friends on Facebook. I (with Marc's encouragement) posted a sonogram picture as my profile picture as an April Fool's joke. I felt bad about those who believed us, but it was fun to be able to "long distance" prank our friends (and some of our local pals, as well). We then posted a video of Desmond saying "April Fool's. Haha!" and I think that was our ticket to forgiveness from those that had fallen for our little trick.
