Our first night with Dad - reading books for bedtime!
First night at destination.
Desmond, tired, tired!
The boys love that we live somewhere with palm trees in abundance! They are still excited to see them even though we've been here for 3 weeks.
There is literally a playground for every residential block and many more scattered throughout the base. Every time we turned around we found another park to put on our to-do list.
Our second night at Ft. Stewart Marc had a gig so we used it as an excuse to have a pizza and movie night. This is our "picnic". Anything done on a blanket is dubbed "picnic" by the boys. The post has a library and lots of DVDs to pick from.
Our first weekend was a holiday for Marc and so we headed out to .... THE BEACH! The boys have been talking about the beach since before Marc left so this was a big day!

Jax spent most of the time just like this....Des explored for a short while but eventually sought cover.
Not before having a little fun, first.

Ft. Stewart has a lot of programs for kids, especially the 0-5 set. We also happen to be here in the Month of the Military Child so there are even more activities being put on. This is the aftermath of the Easter Egg hunt. The boys opened their treasures and then put all the eggs in the alligators mouth, thinking he needed a treat, too. This is actually part of the mini golf course they have here.
This is the indoor play area on post. They have a special time in the morning for 0-5years old which is great. Its also air conditioned which is also great. 3 stories of climbing fun....

Another event. This one had face painting, which is quickly becoming a favorite activity of the boys.

We have been so busy that the boys got literally wore out. We were doing our first real grocery shopping and Des and Jax *fell asleep* in the grocery cart... This has never happened before and they drew many amused gazes. It was the quietest shopping trip ever! And yes, Jax is resting his chin on the cereal he chose.
This is our first morning in our new house (no more temp housing!). We had a special day and ate breakfast on the counter since we didn't have any table or chairs.

And so it begins... the hard part! Fortunately the movers did all the unloading, we just had to do the unpacking. Quite the process.
Dad and Jax bought me a flower. Jaxter's signature is at the top above Dad's.
This is our first adventure to Savannah. We decided to see what all the fuss was about at Five Guys' Burgers. My good friend Tara is always raving about them so we had to try it. I have to say they were good! Even Marc said it was a good burger, and that's saying something!

Visiting a local wildlife center. Local animals along trails.... fun day. We saw lots of different animals including wolves, armadillos, birds of all kinds, racoons, farm animals and we got to feed turtles.

Our first, for real, things all put away, at *home* supper.
This is the Wheels Day here at Fort Stewart. The boys had a lot of fun trying all the different horns. They also had half a dozen bouncy houses set up that were a big hit as well.
Last but not least....Marc taught the boys how to play duck hunt today. Very big milestone, the first playing-of-video games.

They have a couple of these at a couple different playgrounds.... lots of fun. =)
Have had quite a few days of rain lately, Dad took the boys playing in the puddles. Great fun...
