Productivity

Every time we go to the "big city" we have a long list of things to accomplish. During these last few months with my doctor appointments so frequent I could always put off the things that didn't get accomplished. Now that we aren't going to be frequenting the doctor, however, the list has more urgency to it because we don't know the next time we'll be in WalMart/Costco territory. This last week I had my final checkup with the doctor and a big list of items to get done. That's why I entitled this "productivity" because that is what my week was all about and I am tired because of it! =) We got all our shopping and errands done, although I had to stay one extra day to do so. While I am proud of myself for getting around with two tykes I still underestimate the added time interval. Even when I get to cheat with Grandma B's help it still takes longer than I anticipate.

I was also exstastic to be able to see two good friends and their children. One friend just adopted a sweet baby girl who is just cute as a button and the other friend has two little girls that are very energetic and full of kidisms. We went to the new play center (Imaginarium) and Des had a ball! LOVED it. He ran around giggling for the first 20 minutes until he and another tot had an unfortunate collision. No injuries, but after that he was a little less gusto in his explorations. He also had another close call. A little girl was obsessed with him and followed him until she finally tried to kiss him with mouth wide open. Fortunately Mama was there to save the day and he was not slobbered.

We had a nice laid back weekend. We have started to notice that the more we are getting done the more clingy Des gets. So we try real hard to have him "help" but he is still a little to young to "help" in even simple household duties. So we try to get a bunch done and then settle down and focus on him for awhile. He comes up with something new on an almost daily basis that makes us laugh. He really is a good kid. Jax is also giving us something to smile at: his first responsive smiles are coming out daily now.

My camera is in the shop and it is a process to get the pics from the card without the camera so I'll post pics when I get the camera back.
